And here we are, a year ahead of schedule!
When I originally started this project, it was while Hollow was on hiatus before we decided to cancel it. Our schedules were too different, and when Josh saw how productive I’d been in his absence with this project, he told me to go for it.
My original intent was to take a year to develop this. In some ways, I wish I could have stuck to that–it would have been really nice to have a year’s worth of buffer to go off of, but I couldn’t sit on it anymore for reasons that should become apparent at around the end of June.
I’ve spent all these years waffling around, and while this may not be the starting page I initially imagined, it’s going to do–it has to, or I’ll never get anywhere.
What can you, as a reader, expect from this comic? Well:
- Updates twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday. Every week. Even when I’m out of town.
- Extremely high quality art, though you’ll have to forgive me anything that doesn’t look quite right–despite all the years that I’ve done webcomics, I’m still learning, and this is something that is apparent to me with every new page I draw.
- I’m a Space Nut. Expect me to babble on in these under-comic-blog posts about crazy universe related stuff that I’ve read about.
- My hard work and dedication. I’ve been working my ass off for the past two months to get to this point, and I’m not going to slow down any time soon. I’ve managed to recapture the joy I initially felt the first time I ever posted comic pages to the web, and it’s sure as hell going to show in my work.
- Lots of extras, hopefully! I’ll do whatever I can make time for!
- A few cool surprises that I can’t talk about right now. You’ll just have to wait and see!
So thanks, everyone, for checking this out! See you Friday (thanks, Max, for pointing out that I accidentally wrote ‘Thursday’ here) with page 2!

A truly momentous occasion !
After watching all of the hard work you’ve put into this project, I couldn’t be happier for you. The site looks great and since I have a sneak peek at upcoming pages, I know they all look great too.
Keep it up and it will certainly pay off. Speaking of which, I need to get moving on some Anime North stuff….
Cory totally narked on you–I hear that you didn’t even doodle at your game tonight. Time Jooosh, tiiiime…. *rips my own hair out*
I promptly have added this to my RSS feed. <3
I really love the idea of rss feeds, but I’ve never been able to really remember to check them. =/
Ha ha, well for me, my browser lets me know when it’s updated.
Yeah? Which browser are you using? Chrome or Firefox? or something else?
Fantastic start, Ran. I’ve been hovering, waiting for this to land. Absolutely looking forward to seeing where this goes!
Knowing that I had a month’s worth of pages and that it still wasn’t launched was pretty excruciating–I’m so relieved to have it up, now. Thank you!
This is a lovely and intriguing beginning. I’m looking forward to what’s to come.
Thanks Diana, I’ll try not to disappoint!
Looking great so far! With the coloring and text it’s very easy to tell what’s going on, too!
Phew, I was worried that people would be very confused about what was going on on this page. Thanks Nuke (ps, as of yesterday, I am all caught up on your comic. I want mooore)!
Wonderful art and design (well okay, so have seen it before
), and I’m a space nut as well, so this should prove interesting!
I don’t know what it is about space…I find the deep sea just as fascinating. There are so many things we don’t know, and it’s so exciting! =D
Okay, you must be a psychic or something, because if there’s one thing I find more interesting than space, it’s the deep sea (- let’s ignore the fact that some girls are pretty interesting too ^_^). For once, the deep sea is populated with all of these bizarre creatures, whereas space is mostly empty. Now if only you were to do a comic about both! :3
Actually, the designs for the main aliens are kind of inspired by some of my favourite bio-luminescent sea creatures (not any one in particular, but I heart bio-luminescence).
Good to see you’ve finally kicked things off! Can’t wait to see more
Thanks, Craig!
Wow, just sort of stumbled across this, and with just the lone comic, you had my curiosity on overload. This sounds like an interesting project. I’ll be watching.
