When a Guardian prepares for battle, it is considered traditional to play or sing a war hymn to Yee and Ahyaal, the bolder, more militantly-inclined children of Clever Old Yaan, the largely pacifistic primary deity of Aea Hyoa (the native religion of the Fiah homeworld). Veteran Guardians such as Ethma tend to forego this practice - while the war hymns sound terribly imposing and grand to Fiah ears, they kind of sound like the twittering of chickadees or their closest local equivalent to most everyone else. On the bright side, they are occasionally useful for lulling restless alien passengers to sleep.
