Click here to read our latest 6 page batch!
Our update schedule is once a month on the 15th. We will post an entire scene, which are generally between three and seven pages.
Our next batch will be FOUR pages and will drop on July 15th, 2026!
Apologies for how late this batch up! I ended up needing an extra week–this was the perfect storm of (new chapter, new way of colouring to get used to) + (extra big batch) + (complicated panels with lots of Hlurcht in them at once) + (one of our cats had a mysterious medical episode that necessitated having to syringe feed him every couple of hours for half a week, so I pretty much had to drop everything what wasn’t Keeping Him Alive, and that included finishing this batch up), and when the dust cleared on that last item, I still had to finish shading half the batch.
I am FINALLY done and ready for these to go up, and also my beautiful trash son is alive and thriving (he has also usurped Ham as Most Medically Expensive Creature in this house by about a thousand bucks, yeesh).

He’s the reason we are late, but you legally cannot be mad at a face this cute!
Anyhow, my intent was to have this all posted up last night, but yesterday I discovered that there has been an update to wordpress that majorly changes the way that posts are visualized as you are composing them that caused me to throw my hands up in the air and elect to play some Dave the Diver instead, leaving writing this blog post until this morning. I don’t know why every blogging platform ever continuously elects to make the blogging part of their platform needlessly complicated, but if anyone knows how to change the in-blog-post custom html block back to just plain text rather than a realtime preview not beholden to my theme’s CSS, I would LOVE for you to point me to where to find that option.
EDIT: Hey also my wordpress has decided that any post I set as ‘scheduled’ for a later timestamp is just trapped in Scheduled Hell where it passes the scheduled time and is just listed as scheduled forever! Switching it back to draft and then setting it to published puts it right back into scheduled, and so does setting it to pending and approving it! The only work-around I’ve found all morning is just deleting all my scheduled pages wholesale and then posting them one at a time and allowing them to go live immediately! Amazing! Same goes for this news post, which I am currently copying and pasting on a block-by-block basis into a new post!
MY CURRENT TO-DO LIST
Like I mentioned, we are a bit behind. This next batch was supposed to be eight pages, but I am choosing to split it into two batches of four, because I want to be realistic about what I am going to be capable of doing with half the time I usually have. It is also about to be summer vacation for our kid, who will be starting highschool in the fall. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that we have been making this comic long enough that we announced their birth on the old website.
Every summer vacation, I absolutely bite off more than I can chew–we have a graduation to go to, new highschool orientation coming soon and a million other things planned for the summer that will absolutely slow me down, so if I can get four pages done for July and four for August, I will consider that a victory.
Anyhow, here’s the updated to-do list. A bunch of things that are on it are things that I am going to be taking the rest of this afternoon to complete (archives and character page stuff), so that next month I can check it off and hopefully not be embarassed that it’s still not done.
- Start the next batch.
- Update the characters page to include descriptions and portraits for new characters as they are added.
- Actually finish the design work for all of the humanoid characters in CH25 (almost done).
- Reformat the first ebook with the updated art and extras and find a home for it.
And here are things from last month that I have completed:
Start in on CH25 pages proper.Update the archives to properly list pages for the previous chapter, and include links/images for the newest volume and in-progress chapter.
If you would like to support us and help us make sure that we are updating every month with a full batch, Patreon is a really easy place to do it! Our site currently does not host adds (and also never will!) because they are essentially worthless, and also ugly as hell.
