Hey all, sorry this is up a bit later in the day than I wanted it–I was about to upload it last night, but the issue I have with outdoor scenes establishing an inside shot is that in animation and film, character’s voices make it very clear who is talking. In comics, nooot so much, so I held off until I had time to sit down this morning and add in little faces for Noh and Astei. I’ve never really used these until lately because it felt sort of like cheating? But when I really sat down and thought about it, it’s a reasonable shorthand that neatly solves an issue that I’d otherwise have to spend hours and probably a full extra page to compensate for, otherwise.
Anyhow, it’s good to be back! This past month has been a whirlwind, because it always is as we have a million family birthdays to attend in August, and they always overlap with prepping for back to school. As I am typing this, I have only just now realized that our 15th wedding anniversary was literally yesterday and neither of us remembered! Whoops!
I’ve got some fun comic news that I’m gonna sit on for a while longer before I announce anything. Until then, I will see you next Friday!
