Okay, so it’s been a while! Happy New Years, and happy several holidays to everyone celebrating them! Holidays were super busy for Cory and I for many reasons, and in the next month or so we’re going to be picking up the new desks for our office (so we can actually work in the same room/a room with proper heating) from good ol’ Ikea, which my family members were nice enough to get us a zillion gift cards for. Expect pictures of the new art-cave once it is finished! I’ll also be finishing up donation cards, as well as adding a couple of donations i haven’t had a chance to sort through to the meter later today.

Secondly, I want to let you guys in on something. So, originally it was my intention to have new pages up, straight through Christmas, as well as have some new free wallpapers for you guys. I was going to be able to pull it off, too, until a tiny wrench got thrown in to the gears. Instead, I spent most of December sicker than I’ve ever been, and it continues even now. I’ve spent the majority of the past three and a half weeks curled around a bucket, in bed, praying for death.

But don’t worry! I’m not dying, and hopefully I will be a functional human being in the next week or so, if all of these books are to be believed. So, yeah, completely unrelated to the Cassie and the Egg story-line that’s going on (and not planned to coincide with it either–that story line has been a part of the plan since the first draft of the time line), Cory and I are expecting a new addition to the family in late July–early August (we’ll have a more exact due date really soon).

So what does that mean for this comic? Well, we’re not closing up shop. I have about two more weeks of morning sickness left to deal with (and I’m already feeling a little better), and after that, things should be right back on schedule. Until then, though, I might only do one update a week depending on how functional as a human being I can manage to be. I WILL try for two, though, starting next Tuesday. It also means, though, that realistically I’m going to be taking a month and a half to two months off in the summer. I do have a plan for that, however, which means that I’ll be contacting a lot of my friends who also do webcomics in the next little while to make sure we have enough guest/collaborative comics to fill that amount of time. So yeah, this is pretty exciting!

Anyhow, I’ve rambled enough. Time for sleep! Glad to be back!
