Victor tactfully neglects to mention that Marilyn is an alternative lifestyle model whose worrying fascination with cats informs most of her wardrobe choices. And her identity. He was so taken aback when she showed up at his apartment in a gothic Victorian outfit with a collar and cat ear headband that it didn't even occur to him to do anything other than stare at her apprehensively. She has since taken to scratching his upholstery, headbutting him in the arm when he sits on the couch, and batting at his keyboard when he tries to use his computer. Because he is secretly a devastatingly earnest and uncreative man, Victor has not even considered that Marilyn might simply be "into" some weird stuff; instead, his reaction has been to treat her as an actual housepet, blandly patting her head and putting out food for her in a desperate, hollow attempt to maintain normalcy. She ran into his bedroom and vomited on the carpet once. He just sighed at her and went to sleep. He'd clean it up in the morning.
