"Police now appear to be backing down somewhat, although what's happening on their end won't be clear until someone from the Chicago PD responds to our calls. Wanda Perez seems to have averted a potential riot, but if the police were aiming to disperse this crowd, they are not going to be happy with this outcome; Wanda is resuming her stump speech now and it looks like she's rallying the mob to protest - yes, as you can hear, she has them chanting now - I can see some of the turncoat police from earlier among the crowd, chanting as well. Wanda Perez, normally a very controlled, calculated public speaker, is visibly furious and pacing as she shouts to the assembled crowd... the response is deafening, I can barely hear anything she's... I can see Maria and Sally Perez, sitting on the stage, Sally visibly shaken by today's events - Maria looks about ready to tear someone limb from limb - I'm going to try to get to the stage and ask Wanda for a statement. Keep the broadcast live!"
